VR comes to STEAMworks in a big way this year with the HTC Vive—powered, as they say, by the mad geniuses at Valve who make SteamVR happen—which turns more than 100 square feet of our floor space into something just a bit better than real life.
Our base stations are installed and ready to dazzle you. Of course, you'll need to strap on an awesomely geeky headset.
The power and potential of virtual reality in education, as well as in entertainment, is clear to us all. But its unexplored possibilities are still vast. We hope that you'll experience VR at your library and that it will lead you toward new ideas that will someday enhance everyone's reality.
