Miguel has been working in STEAMworks since early 2017, and in the Rohrbach Library for about 20 years. He is a Library Technician and has a Bachelor's in Communication with a concentration in Journalism, History, and Art. Here he has the opportunities to work with students and faculty in a multitude of projects. To Miguel, STEAMworks can be challenging because it encompasses many disciplines, but this is also one of the top attributes of STEAMworks, because you are always sharing and learning.
Bruce JensenBruce studied literature at the University of Washington (it was lit!) in Seattle, then earned graduate degrees in linguistics & language teaching (Flagstaff, Northern Arizona University) and library stuff (UCLA) along with coursework in Spanish, anthropology, and Latin American studies.
The photo at right, snapped by someone he loves (the mother of the lil' boy on Reggie Watts's left; ditto) reveals some of his passions: clever hardworking musicians, travel, and dopey hats.
Bruce grew up in a bygone era long before color photography was a thing. The artist's rendering below captures a younger and jollier version of him busy with something he used to do in halcyon days of a forgotten century: haunting libraries reading books.
