The 2023 Children's Literature Conference at Kutztown University -- April 15, 2023

The book review sessions were held in the McFarland Student Union Building from 1-2pm.

Finding recommended titles: Some of the places we go to find recommended book lists include library associations, national teacher associations, textbook publishers, and children's literature research centers. Examples include:

ALSC Notable Books lists: Association for Library Service to Children lists best of the best in children's books, recordings, and digital media.
ALSC recommended lists: ALSC also creates lists for special topics and audiences
NCTE/Children's Literature Assembly Notable Children's Books in the English Language Arts
NCSS Notable Social Studies Trade Books For Young People (must be a member to see lists).
Everyday Mathematics provides recommended titles by grade
NSTA Outstanding Science Trade Books for Students K–12
