We have many different tools and technologies available for both students, faculty, and staff. Please use the menu to look into the many resources we offer.

If you are not familiar with a tool that sounds interesting to you, it would be our pleasure to walk you though how to use it safely and effectively. 

Keep in mind that STEAMworks charges a fee to use some of our technologies to recoup the cost of materials. For more details on costs and how to pay them, please check the Fees tab. 

We can print designs you create, or vetted models you find. 

Printers:

• We also have 3D pens by Intelligent.

Cost: $0.09/gram + $0.25/hour of print time.

Use our 2.25 inch button maker to make buttons and our 1.5 inch button maker to create both buttons and magnets. We will supply the button materials, you bring the design.  

Cost:

• Buttons 20 cents each
• Magnets 50 cents each

There are two vinyl cutting machines available to use. 

• Cricut:  Cuts and draws on paper, vinyl, fabric, leather, and more. 

• Roland Camm-1: Designed for commercial-size vinyl projects. Handles larger jobs than the Cricut, 

Cost: $2 per linear foot of material used.

We Can Laminate for You

Our Ultima 65 Laminator can handle all of your laminating projects. It has a maximum lamination width of 27 inches, and it has laminated projects over 50 feet long.

Turnaround:

We aim for 1 business day. Any time-sensitive jobs should be submitted early (24 hour turnaround is not guaranteed). Drop off your item anytime we're open.

Cost: $0.50 per linear foot of film
