Where to Find the Permalink to share with students via email or D2L
- To share a film via email or D2L you will need to use an authenicated permalink (a link that will work both on and off campus)
- Locate the film you want in Films on Demand
- Look for the Share option underneath the film, click on Share then click on Embed/Link (view short video demo)
How to Create a Custom Segment
- Locate the film you need in Films on Demand
- Look the Segments option underneath the film (see screenshot)
- Click on Segments then login to your account
- You can then easily create a segment by clicking on Set Start Time and Set End Time then give your segment a name and save it (view short video demo)
- Your custom segments are available clicking on your account then My Content (see screenshot)
How to Create Custom Playlists
- Creating custom playlists from multiple films is challenging but definitely doable
- Login to your account
- Go to a video, click on the Add To option under the video, click on Playlist then Create New Playlist - give your new playlist a name
- Choose a segment from the preselected choices or create a custom segment (see above), add that Segment to your new playlist
- Go to the next film that you want to create a segment, create your segment and save to your new playlist
- Repeat until you've created your custom playlist. Unfortunately Films on Demand does not allow you to access all your custom clips in your account
