January 21, 20204: Unfortunately there is an issue with Films on Demand links that use the library's primary authentication system. The issue is being worked on by Films on Demand Support. There are currently two ways to access Films on Demand videos:
The issue occurs if a professor is sharing a title-level permalink that uses our primary authentication service. Unfortunately there are a lot of those links out there on LibGuides, D2L, faculty websites, emails, etc.
Faculty please contact Bob Flatley, flatley@kutztown.edu, if you would like him to create new title-level permalinks.
This issue happens in Chrome when attempting to create a NYTimes.com account using the library's registration link. Chrome views the KU NYTimes.com registration link as suspicious because it incorporates KU's authentication information in a NYTimes link. The registration link is safe to use. To bypass the Chrome security message simply click on the Ignore button. This will direct you to KU's NYTimes registration page where you can sign-up for an account. Alternatively you can use Firefox or Edge to sign up for your account.
