PHOTOCOPYING FOR FACULTY AT THE LIBRARY
Faculty photocopying is restricted to library books, journals, and other print resources, and should be single copies of material to be used for a faculty member’s research. The faculty member is responsible for observing all copyright law. Photocopier privileges do not extend to multiple copies to be used in a class, or to non-library items.
The photocopy machine is the property of the vendor. It can only be used with a password, which can be obtained at the Information Desk. Faculty members must record the number of copies made every time they use the machine using the form next to the copier.
Each department receives 500 free photocopies an academic year. When the department exceeds the allowance, the faculty member will have to present a written approval from the department chair so that further copies will be billed back to the Department, at the prevailing rate which is currently 10 cents per sheet.
