Films on Demand

Films on Demand includes over 29,000 streamed videos from Films for the Humanities & Sciences, ABC News, NBC News, PBS, BBC, National Geographic, The News Hour with Jim Lehrer, Bill Moyers, Shopware, The Open University, A&E, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, Fred Friendly Seminars, Cambridge Educational, and many more. Create a personal account to save to Playlists or Favorites. Links to individual videos or segments can be emailed or posted in D2L.

Features

The interface allows searching by title, by keywords in segments, browsing titles alphabetically, and browsing or searching within the subject areas. 

Most of the titles in the collection have closed-captioning and many have interactive transcripts.  Use the Advanced Search function to limit search results to titles with closed-captioning and transcripts

Sharing Content

All video titles and individual segments of videos in Films On Demand have a persistent link (called "Record URL") that you can copy and paste into D2L or other web resources. 

Select Link/Embed copy the link or code you wish to use.
