Please contact Bob Flatley with questions about KU's Transformative Agreements.
Transformative agreements, also known as a "read and publish" agreements, are a contract between a research institution and a publisher in which open access charges are encompassed within the subscription fees that the library pays to the publisher allowing authors to publish in open access journals with no article processing charges (APC).
APCs are covered for researchers who are the corresponding author (faculty, students and staff) and choose to publish open access in journals under the publishers who have an agreement with the Rohrbach Library. Those publishers are listed below. When submitting articles to the publishers, KU authors are required to use their KU email address to confirm their affiliation.
KU corresponding authors can publish an unlimited number of OA articles for free in any of ACM's journals, conference proceedings, and magazines. To be eligible, authors must use their KU email when submitting the article.
