Library Instruction

To help students become more thoughtful researchers and to teach them to find and evaluate resources in the Rohrbach Library and online, we invite you to schedule information literacy sessions for your classes. A librarian will collaborate with you to design a class session that is suited to you and your students.  Sessions can be:

  • Single class period library orientations
  • Focused sessions about a particular resource or skill
  • A micro-session during which a librarian introduces her/himself, takes questions, and explains how students can find help with research
  • Several related sessions to prepare for major research projects
  • A library tour
  • Something else - you tell us!

We can schedule the instruction in the library, in your classroom, or online, and can create an online guide to resources for your students.

We also offer one-on-one consultations in person or via zoom, which can be scheduled at the convenience of the librarian and student.
