Internships in Archives

Each semestser the library offers internships for students looking for experience in archives, web design, or digital initiatives. You can view their pages by selecting their name.

In In Spring 2026, Siobhan Houghton was the editor of the 2025 edition of The Archives Magazine. Siobhan was an intern from the Professional Writing Program in the English Department.  Tyler Nadzady was a Library Science intern who helped exensively with the processing, identifying and organizing of artifacts in the KU Archives and Rare Book Collection. Tyler also worked on projects processing and uploading lantern slides, and cataloging and processing new collections.

In Fall 2025, interns Fern Theobaldo-Panise, Luke Weidner, Jessica Passifione, and Dante Smith worked on social media postings for the Archives Instagram and Word Press acounts. They also worked on articles for issue #5 of The Archives Magazine which will come out in April 2025.

In Spring 2023, interns Sabrina Betterly, Madison Blickley, and Alex Torres completed projects for the internship requirements in their majors.

In Fall 2023, intern Samantha Dunlap completed a variety of projects for the internship requirements in her major.  Jacob Mankos documented important aspects of KU history through a series of four articles for the upcoming 2024 issue of The Archives Magazine,
